Stone Sheep Hunt

This is a classic 15 day horseback hunt for a Stone Sheep Ram. This will be a limited entry raffle! This hunt is provided by Larry & Lori Warren of; Tuchodi River Outfitters. The dates of the hunt are scheduled for August 14th to August 29th 2010. The cost of hunting a Stone Sheep continues to increase as the quotas of tags are being reduced. The Tuchodi River area has a good population of sheep and Tuchodi River Outfitters maintain a high success rate on harvesting mature Rams. The hunts includes 1 on 1 guide service and most of the hunting will be conducted from one or more of the many spike camps in Larry’s area. Hunting from horseback allows the party to cover more in ground in search of a trophy Ram. The hunter is responsible for transportation to and from Fort Nelson, B.C. as well as the air charter to base camp which is approximately $950. The hunter is also responsible for all licenses and tags as well as the GST taxes and the non resident preservation fund. License and tag fees are available on their website. Additional animals are available on a trophy basis and include: Elk, Moose and Mountain Goat. ($3,500 each plus tags). Non-hunters are welcome at $ 250 per day.

Elk and Black Bear Hunt

The lucky winner of this raffle will have the chance to hunt the majestic Rocky Mountain Elk with long time supporters Harry & Jill Leuenberger of Baldy Mountain Outfitters in Southeastern British Columbia. The dates of this one on one hunt are scheduled for September 9-18, 2010. These dates correspond with the peak of the rut and the bulls should be in full song providing lots of action. They have also included a Black Bear for this raffle. Black bears are plentiful in this area and make a great addition to the hunt. The winner needs to fly or drive to Kalispell, Montana where transportation to and from base camp will be provided.  This will be a spot and stalk type hunt and the hunter should be prepared to ride horses and be in the best shape possible. The Leuenberger’s have also included the 5% GST Tax and the $150 non resident preservation fund fees. The hunter is only responsible for the non- resident license, tags and government royalties on all kills which will total $800 - $1000 depending on animals harvested. A non hunter is welcome at $200 per day and additional hunt space for a second Elk hunter may be available at the rate of $7,800.
